Cha-Cha-Cha-Charmin! Hiking Part 2

So, you're out hiking with a group of friends. Talk about fun!

Oops! You forgot to go to the bathroom before y'all started the hike. You search for a bathroom, but all you can find in the woods is a lone outhouse. You open the squeaky door... Inside you find spider webs, flies, and God knows what else! Scary!

So...

Z. Do you use the outhouse... and risk your life in doing so?

Y. Do you find a nice spot outside to squat... wait, is that poison ivy?!

X. Do you "mess" yourself... and hope the flies don't come callin'.

W. Or do you find an alternate solution?

Whatever you decide, decide it quick! This can't wait! Nature's calling!

Of course, You could always say "Depends"

I would squat, pull my pants WAY forward and go :)

I've already done choice 'Y' :S

We couldn't find any washrooms so I had V be the lookout and I went behind a tree. It was in a big forest and there was nobody around but it still felt awkward... I guess I shouldn't have drunk so much water!

I'd definitely take my chances with the outdoors, from my experience Mother Nature is much cleaner & safer than any port-a-potty or outhouse! *shudder*

Go in the woods, that's probably the "safest" thing to do!

Sit and squat...when ya gotta go, ya gotta go...and this is where I wouldn't mind having lost my sense of smell!!

I would assume the position and use the outhouse....being the pack everything kinda of gal...I would have TP in my pocket....

~Skittles~ Definitely don't want to get those pants messed!

~liya~ Good thing you had someone to stand guard!

~Rapunzel~ Cleaner, yes. Not sure about the safer, though. I'd be scared that a snake would sneak up on me and bite my butt. Eek!

~Silverneurotic~ It probably is safer. I'm sure the aforementioned hypothetical snake really wouldn't wander up.... But what about bees?!

~becky, mom...~ Don't look at it as "having no shame" thing... Think of it as self-preservasion!

~MOI~ I think we'd ALL agree that it would be a nice time to lose that sense!

~Smalltown rn~ ALways prepared! That's a good thing to be!

Me, I'd probably use the outhouse, and then try my hardest to forget that experience!

Though I have used the great outdoors before! The outhouse was LOCKED! What else was I supposed to do?!

outhouses scare me. I'm always afraid there's a snake hiding in there, just waiting to jump up and bite my butt

squat - no second thoughts, and get someone to watch out if there are no handy trees around.
I had to do this on a walk around Lantau in Hong Kong - it's probably the site of the new airport now.
