Can You Hear Me Now?
Well, hello blogger friends. I'm not sure if you noticed, but I've been gone for a few weeks. Becky's the one who's been running things. I've been on this HUGE reading kick. I come home straight from work and read until 2 am, when I pass out from lack of sleep. Usually, that's how I am w/ blogging! Well, I'm done w/ the book series that I was reading. I'm taking a reading break now.
Moving on to the question! If you had to lose one of your 5 senses, which would you give up? For those who didn't make it through Kindergarten, the 5 senses are:
Or conversely, which would you hate losing?
For those who already lost a sense, would you trade it for another?

That's easy!!! I'd give up the sense of smell. It's not that important. In fact, sometimes, don't all of us wish we couldn't smell?
I would hate losing sight, hearing or touch. Taste, not that much.
RAJ! RAJ! RAJ! RAJ! you're back!!! its a miracle.
anyway, i'd like to say to abby: you stink! you were supposed to ask Hiking part two. Grrr...
To the ? at hand... I would hate to lose my sight. When I was in college, there was a girl I knew who was blind, and from observing all her woes, I would not want to be blind as well. An example of the troubles is watching movies. She'd sit with us, listening. But she'd constantly have to ask: what just happened?
I wouldn't mind losing smell...I don't smell very well to begin with and in some cases, it could come in handy!
I would really hate to lose my sense of hearing though. I can't imagine not being able to listen to music ever again.
I'd choose to lose either taste or smell. Taste maybe because I'd probably eat healthier then!
I'd hate to lost sight, sound, and touch.
I would not want to lose sight or hearing but I could lose smell. Maybe I'm just saying that because I forgot to take out the trash....
So, I realized that I didnt answer the main question. I wrote what I'd hate to lose, but not what I'd be most willing to part with...
I'll probably go with smell. I always think my house STINKS, even though no one else notices. w/o the sense of smell, i would stop wasting money on Oust Fans and candles
I would give up smell- wouldn't want to lose my sight. I did lose it once for about 3 months. Pregnancy can do that to you. Just saw shadows. Hubs had to take care of Luke solo for over a month. That was nice.
I also would give up smell if I had to choose. Sight would be the hardest for me to give up.
Back in January, I taught the 5 senses to my kiddies. It was a fun unit to teach- lots of cool experiments to go along w/ it.
Some sad news to yall who said they'd give up smell... You can't taste w/out smell. So by giving up smell, you're automatically giving up taste, too.
I, personally, would hate to lose taste. But I'd rather lose taste and smell than the others. I think sight would be the worst to lose.
I'm with the majority.. taste and or smell.
Taste or smell win hands down! I love touch but have lost a lot of feeling in my hands and it's not fun! I've almost gonre blind and that terrifies me. Not hearing anything would drive me nuts! Losing taste or smell might stop me eating so much!!!
