There are SO MANY holidays. I love holidays for many reasons. One, it's a good time to get together w/ family and friends. Two, it usually means good sales at stores! I live to shop! and Three, many of them mean NO SCHOOL!!! Score!
Jenn wanted to know what your favorite holiday is. I'm going to build upon that, and ask why.
For example, I myself love Thanksgiving. Why? Because my WHOLE family gets together, and it ends up being a three or four day celebration. Family + Food = Favorite Holiday. Trust me, the math works. :)
So, how about you?

My favorite holiday is Diwali, the festival of lights. I always visit home around that time and it's fun!
Thanks!
I love Valentine's Day. Me and the bf have such fun!
By the way, I LOVE the Sesame Street picture! Poor Big Bird!
My Sweetie says that my favorite holiday is whichever one is coming up next! LOL He's sort've right, I love holidays and go all out for each & every one. However, Samhain (Halloween) is my actual favorite because it's sacred to me as a Pagan, but 2nd to that is Valentine's Day. Red is my favorite color and I'm such a hopeless romantic! ;-)
MY favorite holiday is Christmas.
Hubby loves 4th of July. He spends more on fireworks than most people probably do at Christmas! *LOL*
My family gets together for almost anything...at least once a month...but the family is getting to large now....with brothers and sister brother in laws and sister in law and nieces and nephews...we are over 70! So generally a sit down dinner is out of the question but parties are always good. Weddings...my sister is getting married next month...we will all be together that will be fun.....
I like Thanksgiving...we normally just have a quiet dinner for immediate family but the food is extra nice that day, and helping prepare the meal with my mom is a lot of fun. Two years ago we went to one of my cousin's houses and a few weeks afterwards my mom went all out and made a traditional Thanksgiving meal as we'd all missed the food that we traditionally have. I think we've just got different taste buds then that particular cousin. LOL!
It's been a while since I've been over here. Glad to be back. My fave holiday is Halloween. My boy and I watch scary movies, make a pot of chili, and pass out candy to all the kiddos. We love it!
I love everything about New Year's Eve - the delicious food, the flowing alcohol, the splendid firework displays, the comforting presence of fabulous friends and family, and of course, the kissing at midnight! ;p
