To sleep, perchance to dream

You are tossing and turning in your bed. Sweat is pouring out of your pores. Within your mind, an odd and freakish dream is playing out--

In the middle of a dark, disgusting forest, you have been caught in a trap. Unbeknownst to you, your foot stepped in just the wrong spot. A rope tightened around you and began pulling you through the woods at an alarming speed. Ferns, mud, rocks, sticks-- All of these [and more] left their impressions on your body. The dirt was the least of your worries; big cuts were beginning to ooze out.

If things could get any worse! Oh they were about to. Up ahead you see an old, hollowed out tree trunk laying on the ground. And your rope was going to pull you straight through it! As you entered it, all light disappeared and you were surrounded by darkness. And then you felt something crawling on you...

As you exited that hollowed tree, you realized that a ravenous possum was on you... and he began gnawing at your face.
SCREAM!

You darted up in your bed. As you shook your head back to reality, the image of that possum was still in your mind: you could still see him right in front of you.

No, this wasn't really your dream. It was mine. Honestly, every bit of it. The first night I was home from the hospital after Erica was born, Hubby took care of her when she would wake up so that I could sleep. Thankfully, she woke up screaming right at the perfect moment... I would not have wanted to see where the dream would have went from there.

I shared my most bizarre dream. Now it's your turn. It can be freaky, scary, funny, romantic [ooh la-la... but not too ooh la-la], or any other sort of dream.

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Hamlet (title) :)

I can't think, I'm too tired, I think I'll go take a nap and dream right now. I'll be back lol.

~anonymous~ Sounds positively scandalous!

~liya~ Yeah, I love Hamlet, too. That is actually my favorite quote of all of Shakespearre's stuff.

Growing up, I had a recurring dream that a car drove over and squashed a from. Then the "nastiness" began to bubble, and a frog grew out of it and hopped away. Scary stuff for a 6/7 year old!

I'm always dreaming that I'm not given my degree since I failed to show up for 2 subjects' exam, I can't find the class and haven't done the reading...meanwhile I'm part teacher par student. Then I dream about trying out for cheerleading and I'm too tired and sore to do cartwheels and splits!!

NO KIDDING!
