In honor of Johnny*
Last year was my first year teaching. I loved my kids last year (and this year, too). I had a student, we'll call him Johnny for privacy reasons, who was just a sweetie. I loved that kid!
I got along well w/ his parents, too. I'm hoping to have his sister next year, I love the parents that much! So anyway... During a parent/teacher conference, I got to talking to the mom. She told me that I was Johnny's first crush! I thought that was just soooo cute! Isn't that just sweet?!
That got me to thinking of my first crush.
As far as I recall, my first love was a certain Chad Redmond in first grade. All the other girls were in love w/ him, but I KNEW it was me he loved. I saw us married, together forever.... Well, that was until he upped and moved to Wisconsin. I was devastated. For years, I held on to the dream of one day meeting up with him and falling in love all over again... I wonder if he ever thinks of me... Ah well.
So, in honor of V-day today, share w/ us your first crush.

I thought it was Chris in grade 4...he was so cute...and a bad boy....we were in school together right up until grade 7 then I went to an all girls school and that was that.....never knew what happend to him....but what I do know is that I liked the bad boys right from the get go...but then I guess everyone has their own definition of bad....right?
~smalltown rn~ I know what you mean about liking the "bad boy." My second (serious) crush was Matt. He was the class bad boy. Loved him from 4th-9th grade!
YAY!!!!! Just got the phone call: SCHOOL CANCELLED!!!! I'm sleeping til noon, then blogging the rest of the day. Awesome!
the first I can remember is a boy named Ty, son of my mom's best friend. One of the few blondes I ever liked. ;-) I was 5.
however, Mom is quick to remind me that there were other boys before Ty..Tony from preschool, another Tony who was an adorable Italian boy, etc. etc..all before elementary school. Apparently I was a hussy from way back.
Eva was my first crush, when I was 3, but she moved to Maryland that year. REMARKABLY, although we hadn't heard from her, when I was 20, despite 17 years and a thousand miles of distance, we ended up at the same college, which we realized after the fact. Luckily, both of our names were unusual and easy to recognize. That was it, we parted ways again...
Hehe, at 6:00 a.m. I got the phone call school is cancelled today too. I dropped back in bed and only woke up half an hour ago :D
My first crush was with this guy who was so short he probably only came up to my to my shoulders. All the girls thought he was so cute because he was so short. This was in grade 4. I refused to publicly like him though because at that time my friends still found boys icky so I didn't tell anyone. He loved me though! So did both of his friends :S
I should add that I went on to crush on some total weirdos...
:S

my 1st crush would be tim [our brother's] best friend from elementary and middle school: John. OMG-- i cant even remember his last name.

~rapunzel~ You weren't a hussy... You just had a lot of love to give!
~gr~ That's so wierd/cool. Guess it just wasn't meant to be... But it worked for the best- you have a cool Missus!
~liya~ What a predicament! His friends liked you! Eek... I guess they could see what a cool "hot nerd" you were!
~becky l~ Hollets! That was his last name. I've been sitting here for ten minutes trying to figure it out!
I'm in a major panic right now because somehow, I can't remember my first crush. I know I've had plenty before, yet I can't seem to figure out when it all started. Hmm....
her name is Debby, just married 2 weeks ago... hehehhe
happy v-day yall
~thethinker~ I hope you can think of him... It'll be a story to tell your future kids when they are 5!
~nevins~ I hope you didn't cry too much when she married someone else... Very sad :-( Oh, and thanks for the V-Day flowers!
I think my first real crush was the daughter of my mom's best friend. we'd see each other every few summers and she was a year older. There was never a chance for a lot of reasons, but she was probably my first real crush...
